If I have a need to restrict the back feed to the grid to stay within my Electric Suppliers rules, does this also affect how much I can draw from the grid as well?

I assume I can select from G98 or G99 grid options on the Multiplus when I set it up, but if I need to restrict the feed TO grid to 16A with my 48/5000 Multiplus II to satisfy the G98 limits set by UK suppliers, does this also affect how much current I can draw from the grid as well? or how much the Multiplus can add to the grid pass through with Power Assist?

I want to be able to take the full 50A from the grid, add 22A from my battery to satisfy my house loads when needed but when the batteries are full and my solar array is still producing plenty of power, I want to be able to send as much as I am allowed (16A in the case of G98) back to grid for a feed in tarrif payment, but no more than 16A otherwise I’d need a different (and expensive) licence to do so , despite the maximum only being 19A from the 48/5000 if it was unrestricted. The G99 licence for feed to grid of over 16A costs a minimum of £3000 in my Electrical Supply Area.

So this is just taken straight from the manual, however it is unclear whether this applies to the 3kVA multiplus II or all of them.

I suspect (hope) that it’s just the 3kVA, and the various different models have a correspondingly higher Power Assist figure the higher up the range you go.

So the 5kVA is 50A input, and Power Assist adds a further 5000kVA to this thus the output is 50+(5000/230)=21.74A =71.74A.

With this output you would need a protection breaker of 80A (the nearest commercially available MCB) between the Multiplus II and the loads off AC-1-out.

    Can anyone confirm?
